When Love Filled the Room

It’s a rare and beautiful thing to feel completely surrounded by support—and that’s exactly how our baby shower felt. From the moment we arrived (and, in fact, long before then, even), Amanda and I were overwhelmed (in the best way) by the love and generosity of our friends, family, and so many thoughtful members of the wedding community.

Planning an event for yourself is a strange thing when you’re usually the one documenting it. But thanks to an incredible creative team, this day came together in a way I’ll never forget.

A huge thank you to PR Rentals—they took my vague vision and turned it into something beautiful and grounded. This truly wouldn’t have been possible without their eye for detail and ability to bring a space to life.

Liz Pruitt Events also played a key role, though maybe not in a way she expected. Around the same time we were planning the shower, Liz shared a mood board for a wedding we were collaborating on—and I may have used that slide deck to dream up this event. Her design instincts and sense of style made the perfect starting point.

Another big thank you to Anna from Willow’s and Sage, who stepped in as our florist at the last minute and created a stunning display that felt both playful and elegant. With no knowledge of the baby’s gender, she pulled together a range of colors and textures that fit the moment beautifully.

The live music brought even more warmth to the day. Amanda had been taking violin lessons, and it felt especially meaningful to have her instructor there to set the tone. It added a layer of personal touch and artistry that meant the world to both of us.

To everyone who came, contributed, celebrated, and supported us in big and small ways—thank you. We felt seen, celebrated, and deeply cared for. I’m endlessly grateful for this community. 🤍
