Eloping on the coast doesn’t mean you have to settle for the standard. That was the heart behind this editorial—to offer fresh inspiration for couples dreaming of something both elevated and intimate along the Southern California shoreline.
We wanted to show that a beach elopement can still feel refined. That the wind, the waves, and the open air can be transformed just like any traditional venue. The setting gave us mood and movement. The styling brought structure and softness. And the result? A gallery that feels rooted in place, yet unmistakably unique.
The color palette was central to the vision. Partnering with Evergreen Flower Co., we built everything around a mix of dusty pinks and cool coastal blues. The florals brought a richness and dimension that played beautifully against the softness of the waves and sky.
While our couple for the day were professional models, you’d never know it. There was a quiet chemistry between them—something natural and believable. I’m proud of the way their energy translated. It’s a reminder that with the right creative team and intentional direction, even an editorial shoot can spark real emotion.
This project was about showing what’s possible when you step beyond the standard. A reminder that eloping on the beach doesn’t have to mean going barefoot at sunset—unless that’s your thing. It can be clean, editorial, elevated. A little wild, a little windswept, and completely your own.
