Château De Fonscolombe – Destination Wedding Venue

Luxury, romance, and history combine in one of the most beautiful châteaux in France, the Château de Fonscolombe in Provence. The 30-acre estate includes a winery, vineyards, and an 18th-century chapel and offers 50 rooms for guests. With its blend of history and modernity, the chateau is a perfect location for a European destination wedding.

It was built in the 16th century by the Lascaris family and has been renovated to include modern amenities while still keeping its original character. The chateau’s intimate atmosphere makes it ideal for smaller weddings that call for something more personal than a typical ballroom can provide. The grounds are also perfect for hosting an outdoor ceremony followed by a tented reception in the gardens. While the option of having your wedding al fresco is wonderful, you may be tempted to celebrate indoors in one of the elegant ballrooms or beautiful foyers.

Interested in visiting? Here’s how to get there.

Airport

Château de Fonscolombe is located around 30 minutes from Nice airport, which has direct flights to most major cities in Europe. If you’re flying into Marseille-Provence airport, it’s about an hour away by car or train.

Train Station

The closest station to the estate is St-Raphael Valescure (approx. 40 minutes away), but there are also trains that run through Nice and Cannes that will get you there as well. I recommend taking a taxi if it’s late at night or early in the morning since the train schedules are not always reliable.

Car Rental

The best way to get around the area is by car, but if you’re looking for more of a “local” experience, I recommend taking the train or bus. There are also plenty of taxis that run through St-Raphael Valescure.
