For Julia & Addison, a sunny afternoon on a bison farm is the perfect place to wash somebody’s feet.
Julia and Addison’s wedding day was one filled with family and Christ. The bridal party was largely made up of Addison’s siblings (a few were Julia’s as well!). Julia’s mom arranged for a few surprises for the couple, including a caricature artist and Julia’s favorite cookies at the reception. Julia’s brother in law played a worship song during the ceremony. Family was all around!
You could tell that Christ was to be the center of Julia and Addison’s relationship from their ceremony. It was reverent and focused on love, but it didn’t skip over the weight of it–this is a covenant, not just a party to celebrate the fact they’re together. It was more. To show that they will serve each other as Jesus served, Julia and Addison washed each others’ feet (John 13:1-17). In those moments, the bridal party and guests were lost in a moment of worship. While everyone was happy that Julia & Addison were getting married, the foot washing ceremony was when we saw tears from the family. This covenant is important!
We know that Julia and Addison will continue to serve the Lord the rest of their lives. We’re so happy for them and what they will do for the Kingdom! Congratulations!
