Stories of refined revelry around the globe.

Jerusalem, Israel

Good models are hard to come by, but good friends are even more so.  Fortunately, Sarah and Xander were able to become both over the short ten-day trip that we shared in Israel.  I had a vision in my head that I simply couldn’t get out—a dramatic wedding photo surrounded by stone and ancient pillars.  With our trip quickly coming to an end, I was looking for someone to help complete my vision.

Sarah’s a good friend.  She’s classically beautiful, but she’s also eternally relatable.  Our relationship that we had been developing for the past ten days made working with her so much easier—we find that again and again with our clients.  To make the photo I had in my head work, though, we needed a male counterpart.  This is where Xander stepped in with grace and grandeur.  As an ex-model for Hollister, he had all the moves ready to go.  It also helped that he and Sarah are dear friends.  Shooting photos in Jerusalem is a fantastic cultural endeavor.  We got a few mazel tovs and one group passing by even whispered excitedly in French about the supposed couple.  It was so satisfying to be able to finally create that picture in my head and continue to spend time with our new incredible and humorous friends (have you ever tried to teach someone how to dip another person?).

Travel bonds people; these two were no exception.
