We could not have asked for a better wedding to kick off the 2019 wedding season.

Katy & Jon’s day was full of laughs, reminiscing, looking forward to the future, and good vibes from all around, from the bridal party that’s known them for years to the strangers beeping and sharing their congratulations on the street!

The morning started sweetly, with Amanda recognizing the name of one of the bridesmaids to seeing her and knowing for sure that they went to high school together, making their way through some classes together. It was a sweet reunion. Katy and her girls were jamming all morning with an excited but relaxed vibe. Sometimes there are pre-wedding nerves, but we didn’t see that at all with Katy or Jon! They were both so ready to be married.

The ceremony went without a hitch (except for the occasional name mishap), with a beautiful getaway in the unexpected heat of the day.

While we love the ceremony and the sacrament, usually our favorite moments happen shortly after. The couple relishes in the fact they’re married, then there’s a party with potential for some intense sentiments from family and friends. This wedding was no exception! We went to the park where Katy & Jon had a few moments to themselves (after shotgunning a beer with the bridal party), then made our way to the reception. The live band had things popping—everyone was so happy to celebrate with Katy & Jon. And we were no exception 🙂
