We all have a getaway spot we love. Growing up, it was Florida for Amanda. Some of her family and friends lived there, so she visited the same beaches and the same ice cream shop (S/O to Sweet Berries!) as she was growing up. Matt’s originally from Colorado, so his getaway is going back to visit in the mountains—the cool air blowing through the trees as you get closer to the peaks. For Chloe and her family, their getaway has been the lake for generations. Many of her family members have houses up on Lake Erie, and they love to go and spend time on the water!
When Chloe mentioned doing her and Anthony’s engagement session on the lake, we were in right away! We started the evening at a park close to her family’s lake house. Chloe is training for a marathon, so many of her runs happened at this park!
We drove up to the lake and saw that the sunset was going to be beautiful, but a ways off, so we grabbed a bite to eat while we were waiting for the sun to approach the water. We got to talking about family, travel, how they met, and wedding details (something about food just opens up conversation!). By the time we finished up, the sun was very quickly setting, so we headed back to the beach to enjoy!
The heat from earlier in the day had eased into a pleasant cool breeze coming off the lake, with soft blue hues making for a beautiful close to the evening!
Love this engagement shoot! <3
Thanks Kenz! It was so much fun! They were seriously so natural. 🙂
This couple is beautiful inside and out. But you captured the essence of their Love
They certainly are! Thank you so much for your kind words. 🙂
