One year from one of the most important days of their lives, Nick & Ala documented their engagement with a fall engagement session in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The feeling of anticipation and joy was so present, and they radiated those feelings so strongly it was almost impossible for us to NOT feel the same exact way!

We had the perfect fall evening for their Brandywine Falls engagement session—beautiful light and just enough of a breeze to make it feel like sweaters were appropriate 😉

We adventured down to the falls, careful to maintain our balance on the rocky terrain. Ala especially nailed this feat in her blush bootie heels! Nick and Ala shared stories of their recent adventures in Colorado and the outdoors seemed more and more like the perfect fit for them.

Then came one of the most fun parts—taking photos with FiFi and Archer, Nick & Ala’s two golden retrievers. Archie & Fi were so excited to be there and barked their greetings at other potential friends (i.e. dogs, people) as we walked along. They were SO sweet and were so good for their loving owners!

Fi is a retired service dog, so she has a few special tricks she was able to showcase for us! Our favorite was her ability to leave Ala’s ring on her nose and balance it (she only tried to eat it once). We were so impressed!

The evening with Nick & Ala was the perfect mix of peaceful and FUN. We’re so looking forward to their wedding in a year!
