An Editorial with Alexa Kate Events

I was thrilled when Alexa Kate Events invited me to photograph a mid-winter wedding editorial. In collaboration with Sarah of Ingeborg Flora Co., this design offered warmth, elegance, and a soft femininity that perfectly contrasted the chill of the season. This early January project was the perfect reminder that thoughtful details and artistry can transform even the quietest time of year into something beautiful.

From the very beginning, Alexa and Sarah’s focus on texture and layers set this design apart. Every element was carefully chosen to build a narrative of warmth and sophistication. One of my favorite parts of this editorial was the stunning contrast created by incorporating blackberries into the tablescape. The dark tones of the berries against the soft florals and neutral linens provided a striking visual contrast, adding an unexpected yet elegant touch to the overall design.

As a photographer, capturing the essence of an event is all about noticing the beauty in the smallest details. This collaboration was a perfect example of how each carefully placed element contributed to the larger story. The florals, the tablescape, and the soft winter light all worked together to create a look that felt both luxurious and organic.
