A weirdly warm January morning began the preparations for Kelby and Zach’s wedding day. Details were in place, dresses were hung, and we were looking at a beautiful day ahead of us. Part of the day’s beauty was in the venue. Kelby & Zach chose the Onesto because she was completely enamored by the space and it’s architecture, and rightfully so! The Historic Onesto has an elegant vintage feel that we can’t get enough of!
Kelby & Zach’s ceremony was filled with displays of love from family, including staying late at the ceremony venue so we could create the romantic and playful snow/confetti photos of Kelby & Zach!
The rain that started during the ceremony stood in our way most of the afternoon—sunset photos on a rooftop were changed to gorgeous indoor portraits, but we still felt like we didn’t have as many intimate moments of the bride and groom as we wanted.
So when Kelby and Zach said they were up for going out in the rain later in the evening, we were pumped! We knew we would be able to create something beautiful and unique for them once we went out in the winter rain. Rain, as uncomfortable as it may feel in the moment, can be so romantic looking. We’re already looking back on this event with rose colored glasses!
