Creating an editorial shoot at an Ohio waterfall midwinter was the best and worst idea we’ve had so far in 2018.
The inspiration for the shoot was fairly simple, but caught momentum the more that we talked about it–two lovers who met in a secret hideaway, experiencing the urgency of being together and the peace of each other’s warmth and presence.
And pretending to not feel the cold?
There’s nothing quite like the authentic snuggle when people are so, so cold that they use each other for warmth. We’re all about the romance there 😉
Fortunately for us, the images unfolded largely like we saw in our heads. There’s a breathless quality to them, intimacy…it was so fun to bring this idea we had to life.
