There’s something special about being with a couple during the biggest moments of their lives.  The excitement of their engagement.  The fulfillment of vows on their wedding day.  We were lucky enough to be part of both of these events for Amanda and Joel, but now they’re on to the next adventure–their family.

Amanda and Joel have a fourteen month old boy, Jonah, who is as smart and well-tempered as I’ve seen in a child that age.  He’s playful and smiley, with an abundant laugh and big blue eyes.  

We joined the Lightner family one morning after Jonah woke up from his nap for playtime.  It’s amazing to see a family at play without the use of technology.  Reflecting on my teaching experience, many kids had a life shaped around technology growing up.  But not this family.  Lightner play time consists of funny faces, imagining with toys, and pretend hats.  Tunnels are also a favorite!  

Amanda and Joel are expecting again, so to document their family at its current size was an honor.
