Cleveland, Ohio
All weddings are a celebration, but this one was a straight up party.
Krysta and Charles had a phenomenal wedding day living the Cleveland dream–starting the day in the Arcade with its beautiful Victorian architecture, moving to take pictures by the (unexpectedly frigid) lake, and finishing by having their ceremony and reception on the river with a beautiful view of the city. Every piece of the day built more excitement for the next!
Krysta and Charles started their wedding day together by having breakfast, then heading off to get ready. Krysta and her bridesmaids got ready at the Arcade while Charles made a stop with the men to a local barber shop. There was a lot of champagne and coffee consumed, respectively.
Krysta and Charles’ first look was was as magical as it was emotional. The Arcade provided gorgeous sweeping staircases, the ability to have their friends and family watch from above, and gorgeous light via the building skylights. Getting to witness and document their reactions to each other was moving; it’s always one of our favorite parts of the day. It’s such a sweet, tender moment, and you could see just how much Krysta and Charles love each other. It’s hard to portray the depth with words.
We went along with Krysta and Charles as they prepared to get married, from taking photos up by the lake while squinting to keep the snow out of our eyes (“It’s going to be worth it!”) to wandering around the Cleveland Aquarium before the ceremony. Laughter, hugs, and joy filled each moment.
After a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony, the party (part 2) began, most notably the Blue Jacket Surprise of 2017. (#bluejacket2017 needs to be a thing!) Krysta had blue sparkly shoes on, so her dad planned a surprise to wear a blue sequined jacket for his speech at the beginning of the reception. It soon became a staple, and at least 15 people had worn it by the end of the night. The dance floor was packed all night with people pumped to celebrate Krysta and Charles, ourselves included of course. 🙂
You know you have really found your type of people when you end up behind the camera too! Pro-level selfie.
As seen in Vogue. 😉
