When you’re preparing for senior photos, it’s difficult to know what you want to do. Are you going to go formal or less formal? What kind of poses will look natural and flattering? After looking at so many Pinterest tips and Tumblr posts, it can be a little overwhelming. When I showed up for Jacob and Jordan’s shoot, they weren’t sure which direction they wanted to go in. Thankfully, they were both very laid back and were open for a brainstorming session.
We talked about going to a park or taking some photos at their home, but when I mentioned we could go to a golf course Jacob lit up and immediately started planning what we could do there. It was so cool to see how much he loved golf and how excited he was for something we were excited about too—making the photos look like him, not like a stranger on Pinterest or Instagram. The location was so beautiful that we could do photos of Jordan there as well, but they were uniquely different than Jacob’s.
Believe it or not this is only half of their session! We decided to head to a different location to catch the sunset and it exceeded every expectation. You can read about it in the next blog, it’ll be up soon!
