If you live in the Midwest, you know that this summer season has been hanging on to every last day. The sun has been out, heating everybody walking around with pumpkin spice lattes and sweating just a touch (One of us may know this from recent experience). So when Laurel & Ben’s first-day-of-fall engagement session rolled around, we were expecting some more of the same: wanting it to be more fall like, but sweating it out nonetheless.
We woke up that morning ready to take a walk and enjoy the day, only to find it was very crisp morning air greeting us instead of the humidity we were expecting—it was finally fall! The unfortunate piece that came with that was the rain that started pitter pattering down mid afternoon, right before Laurel & Ben’s session. The four of us talked and decided it would be worth the risk, even with a slightly different vibe than initially anticipated.
We loved when Laurel & Ben walked up to us because they stood out so much from the dreary background surrounding them. Laurel’s coral dress was so lively and cheerful, and it didn’t take long to figure out just how well it matched her personality.
It rained for the whole session, so there was a lot of opportunity for snuggling under big trees or next to Hobbit-sized doors. Ben & Laurel love to laugh together, and their spirits were high throughout the session.
