Helena & Andy // Wedding
Helena and Andy are like fire and ice, each acting as the perfect complement to the others powerful personality. It was such a privilege to be a part of their festive wedding day. The entire event centered around three things: Christmas, family and fun.
We spent our Friday afternoon and evening (and late into the night!) hanging out with Helena and Andy. We met the ladies at Sheer Professionals in Wooster where they were getting ready. While there, we discovered just how unique the wedding would be! Between Helena's exclamations of "son of a nutcracker" and the beautiful snowflake detailing in her hair, we knew we were in for something truly unique and beautiful. They even incorporated fresh holly in the bridesmaids' hair. While the groomsman may have been a little more relaxed, they were no less festive. Between the brilliant red vests and ties and the silly Christmas socks, the group was quite a sight!
Some of our favorite parts of the day came in the small details we noticed as the day progressed. To begin, Helena and Andy were married on the same day as her parents' anniversary. Additionally, Helena wore her mother's veil, as well as her grandmother's crown. She looked incredible, truly like a snow queen.
Another highlight of the evening was the garter toss. Usually it's fun but not incredibly noteworthy. That being said, Andy really gave the tradition a special touch by dressing up as Santa and using the song "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" as the music. It was hilarious and tons of fun!
There are so many wonderful things to be said about Helena and Andy. Their wedding was festive and lively. As the night progressed and the music commenced, if you listened carefully you could hear Helena's voice soaring over the music. She and Andy spent the rest of the evening dancing among friends lost in the moment. Thank you so much to Andy and Helena and everyone who contributed to making their day so wonderful!
