Stunning Summer Wedding in CVNP // Tara & Chris
The wedding day was a day of respect—valuing family, friends, each other, us, and guests they were just meeting for the first time. One of our favorite behind the scenes moments from the day was right after the ceremony. An older gentleman approached Tara, introducing himself and congratulating her. He said how she couldn’t have married into a better family and he was so thankful for the meaning behind their ceremony—that their marriage was to to be centered on God. Tara nodded along, listening intently, then the man reiterated how amazing Chris’ family is, and Tara got misty-eyed. The kindness of a stranger-turned-friend is not to be underestimated.
The family was one we won’t soon forget. Garl, the father of the bride, was so awesome. I don't know if Garl is short for anything, but this is the first Garl we’ve met and it was a positive impression. His servant heart and his prioritizing praying with the couple before the ceremony made it clear to us that he was the type of father that we want to be around. Between him and Tara’s mom, it’s clear to see where Tara’s loving nature and underlying intelligence come from.
Chris’ parents played an integral role in the day as well, with making sure flowers were where they needed to be to clarifying desires of the bride and groom to communicate to others (with a touch of playfulness on the side). We loved seeing where Chris’ get-it-done way of operating with the heart intent of helping others comes from.
We saw Tara & Chris interact lovingly with their friends and family all day, but the pinnacle of their character came out when they were with each other. They held each other in such high regard, constantly looking out for the needs of the other while communicating deep love the whole time. We were honored to be part of their story.
