Heather & Michael // Wedding
When we pulled up, we noticed the chickens right away. We knew Heather and Michael’s backyard wedding was on a larger amount of property, but we didn’t know how many people (and animals!) would be there celebrating in the town. Heather’s family built the town themselves, constructing various old-town buildings: a saloon, a church, and a general store to name a few. This already wasn’t your typical backyard wedding! Heather’s extended family owned the property and has had many a fête there, so we knew we were in for a good time.
Heather & Michael’s family and friends braved the heat of the full sun for their ceremony. Michael’s dad made the ring box (which doubled as a jewelry box and cake topper) as a surprise for the couple, and they kept it wrapped right until the ring bearer walked down the aisle. We were so impressed with the craftsmanship!
After the ceremony, we had a few minutes for the bride and groom to catch up alone (this is one of our favorite parts of the day!). Heather and Michael were so sweet with one another, snuggling in front of the vineyard and enjoying each other’s presence. They also were a little goofy, too. ;)
The reception was full of celebration and revelry, with feet stomping and faces smiling. We were happy to be able to celebrate with these two sweet souls!
