Jessica & John // Akron Wedding
When the priest compliments you on your character, you've gotta write that one down for the books.
During Jessica and John's wedding ceremony, the priest mentioned how he knew John to be a persistent person. John had plans to propose to Jessica in October 2016 during a romantic weekend getaway to Hocking Hills, but that wasn't the right timing. He had to try again in December 2016 when he and Jessica were at the top of a Ferris Wheel near Niagara Falls. Really, either of those locations are winning proposal spots in my book!
But it isn't just John's persistence that marks this couple as noteworthy. The roots Jessica and John have together are remarkable. They value tradition in a way not everyone does; to date they are the only couple we've had that walked down the aisle to the actual Wedding March. Jessica and John also have strong roots in their families. There were so many sentimental moments, especially between Jessica and her dad! When the dance floor was full, it was full of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Family was everywhere supporting Jessica and John!
One of the details that stood out to us was their cake--a towering creation made to look like a tree. Jessica and John's initials were carved into the side, which matched a picture in their home of a tree with their names and wedding date carved into it. We appreciate when people have an eye for the little things. ;)
We had a great time with Jessica and John and wish them all the best!
